UhrenkontorSwiss watch buyers

General Terms and Conditions

Version 1.2, in force from 20 October 2026. Draft, to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

This is a translation for convenience. In case of any discrepancy the German version prevails: Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen.

A. Purchase of watches

1. Scope

These terms apply to the purchase of watches by Solidas GmbH (hereinafter «Uhrenkontor») from private individuals and companies resident or established in Switzerland and in the Principality of Liechtenstein via the website uhrenkontor.ch.

2. Non-binding nature of the enquiry

Submitting a watch through the form is free of charge and without obligation. The submission creates no obligation to sell.

3. Offer

On the basis of the seller’s details and images, Uhrenkontor submits a purchase offer with a period of validity. The offer is subject to the condition that the authenticity, condition, function and scope of delivery of the watch correspond to the details and images provided. The inspection takes place at the handover.

4. Acceptance and conclusion of contract

By clicking «Accept offer» the seller declares acceptance of the offer. A contract of sale is thereby concluded subject to the condition set out in clause 3. The seller undertakes to make the watch available for handover within 14 days and not to sell or encumber it elsewhere in the meantime.

5. Discrepancies

If, on inspection, the watch does not correspond to the details provided, Uhrenkontor is entitled to adjust the offer or to withdraw from the purchase. The seller may accept or decline an adjusted offer. No costs arise for the seller in any case.

6. Ownership and provenance

The seller confirms that he or she is the owner of the watch, that it does not originate from a criminal offence and that no third-party rights exist in it. In the case of counterfeits, Uhrenkontor reserves the right not to return the watch, to the extent provided by law, and to inform the competent authorities.

7. Handover and payment

The handover takes place in person at an agreed location in Switzerland. Payment is made after the inspection in cash, by bank transfer or by Twint, as the seller prefers. Cash payments are confirmed with a receipt. Ownership of the watch passes to Uhrenkontor upon payment in full.

8. Identification

Uhrenkontor may require an official identity document to be presented and may record identity data for documentation purposes. This serves the duty of care in trading in second-hand valuables.

9. Liability

Uhrenkontor is liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, consequential damage and loss of profit is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

B. Sale of watches

10. Offers on the website

The watches and prices shown on the website are non-binding invitations to make an offer. A contract of sale is concluded only by individual agreement (via WhatsApp, telephone, email or in person) and payment. Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF).

11. Handover and payment

As a rule, the handover takes place in person in Switzerland or Liechtenstein against payment in cash, by bank transfer or by Twint. In individual cases, the watch may be shipped once it has been paid in full; the details are agreed in advance.

12. Authenticity, warranty and statutory warranty

Uhrenkontor guarantees the authenticity of the watches it sells. For second-hand watches the statutory warranty under the Swiss Code of Obligations applies. Towards consumers the warranty period is at least one year. Signs of use that correspond to the age and the description do not constitute a defect.

In addition, Uhrenkontor grants a 12-month warranty on the functioning of the movement for every watch it sells, starting from the handover. Excluded are damage caused by dropping, impact, moisture or improper use, work carried out by third parties, and wear parts such as the strap or bracelet, gaskets and crystal.

13. Trade-in

The trade-in of a watch belonging to the buyer is governed by the provisions in section A.

C. General provisions

14. Data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by the privacy policy.

15. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, to the exclusion of conflict-of-law rules and of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Solidas GmbH. Mandatory places of jurisdiction remain reserved.

16. Amendments

Uhrenkontor may amend these terms at any time. For a given contract, the version published on the website at the time the offer was accepted applies; the version is documented upon acceptance.
